What is AmeCon?
AmeCon is the UK's largest residential convention dedicated to the celebration of Japanese Animation and Comics, and the community that these media bring together. We try to be a little bit country, and a little bit rock'n'roll - well, maybe a lot rock'n'roll, but that's beside the point.
The weekend-long timetable is chock-full of attendee-run events providing new insights, or alternative viewpoints, on a variety of related subjects. Either way, they are a great way to meet likeminded people who love the same things you do.
Our infamous nightly parties provide ample opportunity to kick back and get your groove on with friends, old and new. Folks coming to AmeCon might only see each other once or twice a year, so we do everything we can to make it a weekend to remember!
Above all else, AmeCon is an event that is run by fans, for fans, and would be nothing without the fans. Every penny AmeCon receives goes into making the event that bit more special for the hundreds of attendees who return year on year. He rocked your world in 2010 and now he's back for ...revenge? That's right, everybody's favourite brony, Ace (My Little Pony), is making another appearance at AmeCon! He'll be jumping off the stage, drinking Relentless on tap, and entertaining you with his many talents. If you're nice, he might even show you how to eat a potato chip in the most epic manner known to man.

The submission form for events is now available on the website.
If you're interested in running an event, please visit the main website and select the Events option from the Forms menu. Remember to fill in details of the event you're interested in running and any requirements necessary for it to run; then submit it and our Events Officer will review your submission.
Please note that you must be a paid member of AmeCon to be an Event Organiser. Anyone not registered and paid for AmeCon 2012 will be immediately rejected.

Acceptable payment types for AmeCon 2012 are:-
- Online Payment via Google Checkout
- Payment by Cheque
Please note that whichever method you choose, your online payment or your cheque must be with us by the end of the 14 day payment window or your place will be automatically cancelled. Please also note that online payment via Google Checkout will attract a small admin charge to use the Google Checkout service.
Remember that we are using a new registration system this year, so you will need to create a new account on the website in order to register.
At the time of this post there are 10 minutes left until our registrations officially open for 2012 - we hope to see as many of you there as possible!

Keele are offering either a Standard room (individual room, shared facilities) or an Ensuite room (individual room, private facilities) in packages of 2, 3 and 4 nights. The more nights you book, the cheaper you pay per night!

Get your credit cards at the ready, it's almost time for registration fever! AmeCon is pleased to announce that registration will commence Sunday 25th September 2011.
We will have 1,350 places open, so get your finger on that [F5] (Mac: [Apple] + [R]) key and prepare for a manic rush to register. Remember it's first come, first served.
AmeCon membership will cost £47.50 for the full weekend.
More details on accommodation and payment methods will follow in the build up to the registration opening date.

That's right, it's official! AmeCon will be returning in 2012 to rock the Keele University Campus during the weekend of 10th-12th August.
We'll have all your favourite Anime & Manga events and panels, industry guests (who exactly TBC...) and of course... parties! The trademark of AmeCon itself.
